Board Meeting Minutes from March 8, 2005


In Attendance

  • Board members: Cary Ecker, Brian Stern
  • Homeowners: Steve Moller, Craig Johnson

Waterfall Area

  • One totem poll was cut off and stolen
  • Steve is going to talk to the schools and see if they have a picture of the totem poll to provide to police. Also to publicize the theft.
  • Cary inquired with the insurance company and the totem poll replacement will be covered with a $500 deductible.
  • Discussed security measures for waterfall area. Discussed dummy and real video cameras.
  • Steve says a great camera unit costs about $3000, but the ones he uses at his RV lot cost around $450.
  • Brian says he would check with the Highlands HOA and try and get information about the camera they claim to have.

  • Discussed idea of adding chain-link fence behind waterfall to prevent non-observable entrance/exit to area. Fence could be painted green or black so as to not stand out.

Landscaping

  • Steve talked to the sheriffs but were unable to find the case report for the car that took out tree in south median. Steve will continue to look into this.
  • Cary met with landscaper to discuss new contract.
  • Landscaper claims he has received conflicting messages in past from previous board members, including not utilizing south triangle irrigation, not planting in the medians, etc.). This will be addressed with Cary being the central point of contact for all landscaping issues.

Other

  • Homeowner is hauling garbage out of the ravine at the north end of trail.
  • Steve will look into Native Groth Protection Area signs for some trail areas.
  • Homeowner with broken-down Fiat on street has not responded to first letter. Cary will send second letter and look into having car towed.
