Board Meeting Minutes from Nov 11, 2003

In attendance

• Brad Scheevel, Shari Clark, Howard Mathisen, Steve Moller, Cary Ecker, Brian Stern, Ryan Sullivan, Rick from Glenbrook Services

Web site

• Discussion with Ryan (owner of totemfalls.com) about association taking ownership of web page. Page is hosted by tera-byte.com. Ryan will be reimbursed for year's fees.
• Ideas for for website: CC&R's, area map, contractor discussion (message board?), resources, annual budget, meeting minutes, hotwatch archive, perhaps home sale info, event calendar, neighborhood classifieds, email, meeting dates, sign up for electronic notifications, request page for CC&R variances, hobbies page, board contact information.

Landscape

• Discussed replacing plants. Some plants killed by long summer drought. Would like to see more color.
• Would like Glenbrook to propose adding waterfall maintenance to landscaping contract.
• Discussed drought-tolerant ground cover options (Kinnikinnick, Yucca, etc).
• Expect to have room for replacing some irrigation in next year's budget. All existing irrigation is broken and will most likely be less expensive to replace than repair.
• Need to find location for large rocks. No longer needed since widening of 134th.

Waterfall

• Damage to lights in waterfall area. Would like to look into possibility of in-ground lights flush with surface.
• Waterfall has not been operational for 3-4 weeks. Need to look into cause.

South park area

• Would like to get rid of area. Area is not used and incurs maintenance and significant insurance costs.
• Neither Snohomish County nor Community Transit have any interest in area.
