Board Meeting Minutes from Jan 13, 2004
In attendance
- Brad Scheevel, Shari Clark, Howard Mathisen, Steve Moller, Cary Ecker, Brian Stern, Rick from Glenbrook Services
Web site
- Finally got ownership transferred of totemfalls.com and also registered the-falls.org which redirects to totemfalls.com.
- Want to have web site at least somewhat functional in time for January newsletter.
- Are soft copies of association by-laws and articles available? Perhaps through county auditor?
- Want web site to have map of neighborhood including trails. No such map may currently exist. Some information available through county auditor's website with interactive maps.
Landscape
- Want to monitor county's plan for Tucker park with respect to landscaping.
- Want Glenbrook to find new plants for common area. Would like to see more color.
- Want Glenbrook to install new irrigation in 6 zones. Estimated cost $2000.
- Will consider re-gravelling trails.
- Lots of storm damage. Glenbrook cleaned up downed limbs at no cost to us.
Waterfall
- Waterfall is currently not operational. Lower pond not deep enough to control leaves. Waterfall is off until all leaves can be removed.
- Rick showed product called No Foam which may help when soap is dumped into waterfall. Product costs $50/gallon and not much is known about it. If it works well, could install new pump in waterfall (est. cost $400) which would inject this into water.
- Brad wants proposal for hiring ongoing waterfall maintenance. Also wants manual produced to describe operation. Previously Tony (past president) knew its operation and maintained it.
- May cut down Alder trees that are causing leaf problems with waterfall, if they do not provide privacy to homeowners.
South park area
- Would like to utilize or get rid of area.
- Cary knows someone with the county. Will inquire again if interested in taking ownership (for Tucker park).
- Consider selling area to developer. Need to look into area's zoning.
- Idea: Could be used to rent RV storage space.
